Explore Our Cattery
Our cattery spaces are crafted for both comfort and hygiene. Utilising easy-to-clean materials that minimise the risk of bacteria and viruses, we guarantee a safe environment for our kittens. Maintaining a 24/7 air-conditioned setting keeps them comfortable. Our kitten socialisation sounds play at fixed intervals throughout the day, exposing them to a variety of noises to foster confidence and adaptability.
Isolation Room
A glass-partitioned room serves as the initial home for our kittens immediately after we pick them up from the airport. Designed with their safety and comfort in mind, it features clear glass walls, minimal bedding, and toys to maintain a hygienic environment and minimize the risk of virus and disease transmission. This space is intentionally kept small yet ample to ensure that they feel safe and secure without being overwhelmed by a large, open area. We purposefully avoid cat condos with hiding spots to encourage kittens to observe their surroundings and begin socializing by hearing and seeing what goes on outside their isolation area. From our experience, this is the optimal way to introduce any kitten to a new environment.
Kittens will stay under observation here for a week to ensure they are healthy and illness-free, and to acclimatise to our cattery environment. During this time, we also gradually transition them to the food we provide, which may differ from what they were fed by their breeders. Once they are ready, they will move to the larger kitten rooms, where they will be available for viewing by their potential pawrents.
Kitten Room I
Kittens move here after their first week of observation. By now, they have acclimatised to our cattery and will benefit from a larger area to explore, run, play, and socialise with visitors and our dedicated caretakers. This room features ample space and wall furniture designed to help our kittens gain confidence with heights. This is where they spend most of their time preparing for their eventual journey home with their new pawrents.
To further enrich their experience, doors are opened during certain times of the day for them to venture to the back of our cattery. This freedom to roam encourages them to gradually expand their territory and helps build their confidence and adventurousness. By slowly unlocking more spaces to explore, we ensure that our kittens feel excited and curious rather than overwhelmed, fostering a sense of security and joy in their explorations.
Kitten Room II
At almost three times the size of Kitten Room I, Kitten Room II boasts a spacious and enriching environment for our slightly older kittens awaiting their forever homes. Kitten Room II is equipped with furniture and TV to simulate the sounds and sights of a home environment. This room also houses our resident cats who have been carefully selected from our European breeders. They play an important role in helping our kittens to learn to socialize.
A clear glass partition separates Kitten Room I and II, allowing the kittens in Kitten Room I to see and observe our resident cats. This visual interaction helps the younger kittens become more sociable and less fearful of adult cats and unfamiliar felines.
We believe in the importance of socialising our kittens with older, friendly, and calm cats to create positive experiences. Exposure to gentle and sociable older cats fosters confidence and reduces fear. This socialisation is crucial, especially for potential pawrents who already have existing cats at home. By ensuring our kittens are comfortable around older cats, we facilitate smoother, conflict-free introductions to their new homes, ensuring a harmonious transition for both kittens and their new families.
Quarantine Room
The Quarantine Room is a dedicated space designed to provide maximum privacy and care for kittens who are unwell and need to be separated from others. Equipped with a separate air conditioning system, this room minimizes the risk of airborne diseases spreading to the rest of the cattery. While we strive to maintain a cage-free environment, this is the one instance where our kittens will be isolated and caged for the safety and well-being of all our cats.
Sick kittens benefit from a smaller, secure environment. Here, each kitten has private access to food, water, and their own litter box. This reduces the risk of transmission of potential viruses and allows us to closely monitor their food intake, water intake, and bowel output. These measures are crucial for their recovery and are effectively managed through careful quarantine.
What to Expect on Your Visit
Thoughtful Visiting Sessions
To ensure the well-being of our cats and provide you with ample opportunity for interaction, we limit visiting sessions to a maximum of two groups per viewing session. By scheduling visitations with sufficient time for our cats to rest, we ensure they receive the socialisation they need while preventing them from feeling overwhelmed. This approach lets you have meaningful and uninterrupted interactions with our kittens, fostering genuine connections.
No Pressure to Purchase
At our cattery, we genuinely care about the well-being and happiness of our cats and their future families. Rest assured that we will never pressure you to purchase our kittens. Our primary goal is to provide an informative and educational experience, ensuring the perfect match for our kittens. We are committed to finding homes where our kittens will bond well and thrive, helping to eliminate pet abandonment completely.
