Frequently asked questions.

  1. About Our Kittens

  • Yes, our kittens come with pedigree certificates.

However, it is helpful to understand what these terms actually mean. A pedigree simply records a kitten’s lineage and ancestry. While it provides information about the kitten’s family line, having a pedigree alone does not automatically mean that a kitten is well bred or suitable for shows.

The term “show quality” is also often misunderstood. In cat shows, show quality generally means that the cat does not have any disqualifying features according to the breed standard, which allows the cat to participate in shows. Whether a cat eventually wins or places in competitions cannot be guaranteed.

In some breeding programs that focus heavily on the show ring, cats may sometimes be selected primarily for how closely they match the visual breed standard. While appearance is important, we believe temperament and health are just as critical, especially when kittens are raised to become companions in family homes.

At Fluffydolls, our focus is on raising kittens with good health, stable temperament, and strong socialisation, as these qualities have a lasting impact on the kitten’s future generations and on the families who welcome them into their homes.

  • Our kittens are imported from carefully selected breeders in Europe.

In Singapore, pet shops can import kittens without quarantine from four approved rabies free countries: the United Kingdom, Australia, Ireland, and New Zealand. These countries have strict health regulations and high breeding standards.

However, where a kitten comes from matters far less than how it was raised. We work only with breeders who raise their kittens inside their homes and prioritise health, temperament, and proper socialisation.

All the breeders we work with have partnered with us for years, and they breed exclusively for Fluffydolls. This allows us to stay closely involved in selecting breeding cats and maintaining the quality of our bloodlines.

  • Yes. Temperament is one of the most important things we look for when selecting our breeding lines.

Our kittens are raised in home environments where they are handled daily from a young age. They grow up around people and normal household activity, which helps them develop into confident and affectionate companions.

Because of this early socialisation, many Fluffydolls kittens adapt quickly to their new homes and enjoy human interaction.

  • Yes. We work with breeders who health test their breeding cats before mating to reduce the risk of hereditary diseases.

Every kitten also receives the necessary vaccinations and veterinary checks before going home according to Singapore’s import regulations.

For additional peace of mind, Fluffydolls kittens are covered until the kitten reaches one year of age for serious health conditions including:

    • life limiting congenital defects

    • genetic diseases

    • feline infectious peritonitis (FIP)

Our goal has always been to provide kittens that are healthy, well socialised, and ready to settle comfortably into their new homes.

If anything unexpected ever arises, we will guide you through the situation and support you in finding the best possible outcome for your kitten.

This guarantee reflects the confidence we have in the health and breeding standards of our kittens.

  • Yes. Many of our customers are first time cat owners.

Because our kittens are raised in home environments and handled frequently from a young age, they are already familiar with human interaction and basic care routines, which helps make the transition into a new home much smoother.

Over the years, we have also guided many new owners through the early stages of bringing a kitten home. Most of the questions and situations new owners encounter are things we have already seen before, so we are usually able to quickly identify what might be happening and offer practical advice based on experience.

Our goal is to make the process as smooth and reassuring as possible, especially for families welcoming their first cat.

  • Our kittens receive their required vaccinations in their birth country before travelling to Singapore.

According to AVS import regulations, kittens must receive their vaccination at around 12 weeks of age, followed by a mandatory 14 day waiting period before they are allowed to travel.

Because of this requirement, the earliest kittens can arrive in Singapore is typically around three and a half months old.

This ensures that every kitten has completed the necessary health checks and vaccinations before entering the country.

  • Yes. Every kitten receives the necessary vaccinations, regular internal and external deworming, and a registered microchip before going home.

All treatments are recorded in the vaccine booklet that you will receive when your kitten goes home, so you have a clear record of your kitten’s health history.

We make sure each kitten is properly prepared before leaving us, so new owners can focus on helping their kitten settle comfortably into their new home.

  • Breeding cats at home is no longer permitted under current regulations. The alternative would be commercial breeding in a farm setting, which we feel is not ideal for raising well socialised kittens.

In addition, many of the breeds we bring in are naturally large breeds, such as Maine Coons and Siberians. Breeding cats require adequate space to live comfortably and develop properly, which can be difficult to provide in Singapore due to land and housing constraints.

Instead, we work closely with small scale home breeders overseas who raise their kittens in family environments with the same level of care and attention we believe in.

This allows the kittens to grow up in calm home settings where they receive daily interaction and proper early socialisation before coming to Singapore.

  • We specialise in several pedigree breeds including British Shorthairs, British Longhairs, Ragdolls, Maine Coons, Siberians, Norwegian Forest Cats, Devon Rex, and Minuets.

These breeds were selected for their temperament, companionship qualities, and suitability for family homes.

2. Choosing the Right Kitten

  • This is one of the most common questions we receive.

In general, many people feel that male cats tend to be slightly more laid back and affectionate, while female cats may be a little more independent. Because of this perception, we often receive more enquiries for male kittens.

However, from our experience working with many litters of kittens, personality can vary greatly within each litter. In some cases, the most affectionate and confident kitten in the litter may actually be a female, while the calmer and more reserved one may be a male.

For this reason, we usually encourage families not to focus too heavily on gender alone. During the viewing session, you will have the opportunity to interact with the kittens and observe their personalities, which often gives a much better sense of which kitten suits your home and energy best.

  • You can share with us about your lifestyle, family, and the kind of personality you are looking for in a cat.

Based on our experience with different breeds and individual kitten temperaments, we can guide you towards the ones that are most likely to fit comfortably into your home.

  • We observe each kitten’s personality, activity level, and confidence as they grow.

Some kittens enjoy lively households, while others are better suited to quieter environments. By understanding what you are looking for, we can help recommend the kittens that we feel are most likely to thrive in your home.

  • Our kittens are raised in home environments and are well socialised from a young age.

They are generally comfortable around people and adapt well to family life. If you have children or other pets at home, we can help recommend kittens whose temperament is more likely to suit that environment.

  • Some breeds, such as Siberians, are known to produce lower levels of the Fel d 1 protein, which is associated with cat allergies.

While no cat is completely hypoallergenic, many people with mild allergies find Siberians to be more tolerable. Individual reactions can still vary.

  • It is natural to be drawn to a kitten’s appearance, and many families do have preferences for certain colours or patterns.

However, we usually encourage owners to also pay attention to a kitten’s personality. The way a kitten interacts, plays, and responds to people often has a much bigger impact on daily life.

After all, you will be living with your cat’s personality for the next 15 to 20 years. While a kitten’s appearance will mature as they grow into adults, their temperament is what shapes the relationship you build together.

For this reason, we are always happy to share what we observe about each kitten’s character to help you make a decision that feels right for your home.

  • It is normal to wonder about this, especially for first time cat owners.

When kittens are still with their littermates, they are naturally more focused on playing and interacting with their siblings. Because of this group dynamic, their behaviour during a viewing may not fully reflect how they will behave once they move into a home.

When a kitten goes to their new home and no longer has their siblings around, their attention naturally shifts towards the people caring for them. Feeding, playing, and daily interaction gradually become the centre of their world.

Our kittens are raised with regular human interaction from a young age, which helps them grow into confident and people oriented companions.

While every cat has its own personality, most owners find that as their kitten settles into the home, the bond develops naturally and becomes stronger over time.

  • This happens quite often, especially when several kittens are equally appealing.

When that happens, we are happy to share our observations about each kitten’s personality and activity level. Some kittens are naturally more playful and outgoing, while others may be calmer and more relaxed.

In many cases, the better choice is the kitten whose temperament fits your home environment and lifestyle.

We are always happy to guide you through the decision so that the kitten you bring home is not only the one you like, but also the one most likely to thrive with your family.

3. Visiting & Viewing

  • Yes, we welcome visitors to view the kittens at our cattery located at 555A Balestier Road.

Viewings are arranged by appointment so that we can provide a calm environment for the kittens and give each visitor enough time to interact with them properly.

You may book a viewing appointment here.

  • Yes. All viewings are strictly by appointment.

This helps us manage the number of visitors at any one time and ensures the kittens remain comfortable and relaxed during viewings.

  • During your visit, you will be able to:

    • Spend quality time interacting with the available kittens in a quiet setting

    • Observe differences in temperament, structure, and breed characteristics

    • Learn more about how our kittens are selected and raised

    • Get guidance on grooming, daily care, and long term expectations

We will also walk you through what to look out for when choosing a kitten, including how to review proper import documentation, assess overall health, and identify a temperament that suits your home.

Many families find this session helpful even beyond their final purchase decision.

There is absolutely no pressure to reserve a kitten during the viewing. The goal is simply to help you understand the kittens better and make a comfortable decision.

  • Viewing sessions typically last around 1 to 1.5 hours.

This allows you enough time to interact with the kittens, observe their personalities, and ask any questions you may have without feeling rushed.

We want every family to feel comfortable taking their time before making a decision.

  • Yes, you are welcome to bring family members who will be involved in caring for the kitten.

Meeting the kitten together often helps everyone feel more comfortable and makes it easier to decide which kitten is the best fit for your home.

  • At the cat café, you will be able to meet our resident cats, rather than the kittens currently available for homing.

However, it is still a great way to experience the personalities of different breeds and get a better sense of what living with them might be like.

Our cat café and cattery are located side by side, but they operate separately. If you would like to visit both, a separate booking is required for the cat café session.

4. Pricing & Reservation

  • Our kittens typically range from $7,000 to $9,000, depending on factors such as breed, coat colour, pattern, structure, and overall look.

Temperament and health are non negotiable for us. Certain features may naturally influence the price, such as how well the pattern forms on the face and body, stronger structure, or kittens with well balanced facial features.

Gender may also play a role. In certain breeds such as Maine Coons, male kittens are often more sought after as they tend to grow larger in size.

The price also reflects the level of care, preparation, and ongoing support we provide even after your kitten goes home. Each kitten also comes with a comprehensive starter kit, prepared to help new owners settle their kitten comfortably during the first weeks at home.

Our goal is to ensure that you are never left figuring things out on your own.

  • To reserve a kitten, 50% of the kitten’s price is required as a deposit.

The remaining balance will be due when the kitten is ready to go home.

  • Yes, we can hold a kitten for up to three weeks after reservation.

If a longer holding period is required, a small boarding fee may apply.

  • We accept Cash, PayNow, and Credit Card.

For credit card payments, there is a 2% processing fee charged by the payment provider.

  • Our prices are fixed.

Each kitten’s price reflects the breeding, health preparation, import process, and ongoing support provided. This ensures that every kitten receives the same level of care and preparation.

To be fair to all customers who enquire with us, we offer a consistent and transparent price. We do not mark up prices with the expectation of negotiating or bargaining later.

This allows families to make their decision comfortably, knowing that everyone is offered the same fair pricing.

Our focus has always been on matching the right kitten to the right home, rather than treating kittens as something to be bargained over.

  • Reservation deposits are non refundable, as the kitten will be reserved for your family and we will stop offering the kitten to other interested families.
